Components of a SurvitecZodiac Liferaft
The remarkable, new and exclusive, built-in cellular foam floor is a major breakthrough in survival equipment, providing enhanced protection against hypothermia and increased comfort. Coated with a resistant layer of aluminum film, it retains and throws back body heat to protect survivors from the cold of the water. It is also lighter than traditional floors and since it is not inflatable there is no chance of it failing to work when the liferaft is launched.

The double-insulated canopy is fitted with ventilation and observation portholes, a rainwater collector and large, easy to close doors, successfully tested using immersion suit gloves. Supported by a strong inflatable arch it is able to withstand gale-force winds and extreme sea conditions. Finished in a high visible colour, it also features retroreflective tapes and radar attachments to help search and rescue services to quickly locate it's position. The outside signaling light and inside comfort light, fitted with a manual on/off switch to help conserve the 12 hours, automatically activate when the canopy is erecting.

The unique rust-proof SurvitecZodiac firing head allows quick inflation even at -30C (-22F) in less than 3 minutes, whatever the size of liferaft.

High volume, weighted water pockets for immediate deployment are fitted under the floor to stabilize the liferaft.

The use of a large, approved design, sea anchor prevents the liferaft drifting under the lee.
